Look what happened in the day care when I wasn't looking. Kalei decided to color her brother Aidan with markers. On his forhead she made a heart and wrote I love you. I know one thing for sure, Aidan must really love his sister to allow her to do his. He doesn't look to happy though, does he.

Through the Eyes of a Child

This was written by an 8-year-old named Danny Dutton, who lives in Chula Vista , CA . He wrote it for his third grade homework assignment, to 'explain God.' I wonder if any of us could have done as well?

EXPLANATION OF GOD:

One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.''God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this. Because he hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off. ''God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting his time by going over your mom and dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have. ''Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista . At least there aren't any who come to our church. ''Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work, like walking on water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn't want to learn about God. They finally got tired of him preaching to them and they crucified him But he was good and kind, like his father, and he told his father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said O.K.''His dad (God) appreciated everything that he had done and all his hard work on earth so he told him he didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So he did. And now he helps his dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones he can take care of himself without having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important. ''You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.' 'You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God!Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway. ''If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared, in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids. ''But...you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and he can take me back anytime he pleases. And...that's why I believe in God.'

I got my tickets that I won to the 3D movie with the Jona's Brother. I thought well there will probably be 2 tickets, but no there were 12, yes I said 12 tickets. So this is the plan. Bailee takes a friend, Kalee takes a friend, Kaiden takes a friend, Alexis takes a friend, Mykla and myself go. And if I don't want to be scalped by my beautician Jaida, her daughter Bret and her are going. Thats 12.

Oh boy I feel a headache coming on. My little Grandkids better love me for this.

I have been on a winning spree lately. Believe me I'm not complaining keep them coming. First I won Shannon White's quilt pattern and fat quarters for her fabulous quilt, oh I can't forget the chocolate she had for me. Anyway right now I'm waiting for channel 4's Good Things Utah to call me back. I entered there Thursday contest for ticket to the Jona's brothers concert. About 9:00 AM this morning they called me and ask me if I would like to try and win the tickets. Oh yaw I would, so they said they would call me back at 10:00 to ask me the winning question. I sure hope the day care kids are quiet enough so I can pull this over, (Pray for me).

I'll finish writing this when I see if I won. Phone Ring! Phone Ring! I'm waiting.

I Won! I Won!

I hope this luck continues.

Today is my Mothers birthday. She would be 84 years old today.

Mom was one of the most ambitious people I have ever came across. She was a clean freak. She taught her children well in this department. She always said get up in the morning and git ur done. When you have finished eating get up from the table and clean up then, not later, and most of all don't waste time.

Mother's yard was a master piece. Mom had artificial knees and couldn't bend, but to see her yard, you would have thought she had a gardener work for her.

Mom lived to be 71. Mom found out at age 62 that she had cancer after going through cancer treatments we thought it was gone. But at age 70 she started to suffer with it again. It had went to the bones so we knew her time would be short. I had the privilege of bringing her in to my home and cared for her until her passing. We shared many special moments that were just hers and mine. At this time it was like we had changed rolls. I was caring for her needs and giving her advice as if she was my child. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I had to be there for my Mother in her time of need.

I love you Mom!

2/18/1970 Today is also Corey's birthday. He was my second born coming in to this world weighing 10 Lbs 8 Ozs (ouch) & 21 1/2 in. long! Corey has so many talents he is a pro at about everything. Corey you have come a long way, keep up the good work. We love you so very very much. Happy B-day!

The joy of being a Mother

I found the age comments to be so true. I hope you enjoy.

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; They don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils Are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' And get their answer when a little Voice says, 'Because I love you best..'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade... It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom. The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, Because that is the doorway to her heart, The place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!
